Shares of Verizon Communications (VZ) are up 24 cents, or half a percent, at $48.39, after the company this morning announced new “unlimited” data plans, an extension of its offering made in February, claiming the new pricing and features, such as hi-def video streaming to mobile devices, is “an even better value” than the prior plans. Are they extending Verizon’s competitive each against T-Mobile US (TMUS), and Sprint (S), or are they merely a way to milk customers for more money?
